About Me
Hello, I'm Fanis, and I hail from the picturesque island of Corfu.
My journey in carpentry began at an early age, working alongside my father in his carpentry workshop. As an experienced craftsman and teacher, he passed on to me not only the skills of the trade, but also a genuine respect for craftsmanship, precision and attention to detail.

Over the years, I gained hands-on experience across many areas of carpentry and installation — from kitchens, doors and windows to wardrobes, interior furniture and repairs. Working on different types of projects allowed me to understand not only how things are made, but also how they should work and feel within a space.
With this experience as my foundation, I eventually decided to create Metawood — a carpentry business built around craftsmanship, thoughtful design and a personal approach to every project.

I firmly believed that there were untapped opportunities waiting for me in the industry.
What matters to me is not simply creating something well-made. I want every piece to feel right for the space it belongs to. I enjoy combining the natural character of wood with clean, functional design, turning ideas into interiors that are both beautiful and practical.
Every project is approached with care, from the first idea to the final detail. My aim is simple: to create work that I can be proud of, and that my clients will enjoy for years to come.
